Hello Gamer Think

Hello readers. This is my first post to Gamer Think, and I am excited to share my thoughts and opinions of games with you, but a little about me before I continue in future posts. I have always thought of games as something that should be fun, which is a large reason why I usually do not play games on their hardest difficulties. Also, games should be good looking. Now, that does not mean that games have to have the most realistic looking, but rather that style is just as important as substance for me.

What is my history with games? Well I've been playing video games since the SNES and Genesis, though I was never allowed to own one until the Playstation 2. Since then I have been played every major system and every major game (so for the most part AAA games).

Video games for me have always been a sort of escape and a chance to act out fantasies (who does not enjoy being a super soldier or commanding unstoppable armies). Aside from sucking out hours of my life, which many would say serves no purpose, games are largely the reason I went into graphic design and continued art. In a sense video games have always acted on my imagination and as a result furthered its reach. Seeing what others have created inspires me to do the same.

My favorite games? Ratchet and Clank (the series), Final Fantasy 7, Call of Duty 4. Favorite genre? First person shooter, frankly because explosions are awesome.
